How do multiple sites and remote teams affect a certification quote?
A certification quote needs to reflect where work happens and how it is managed. The number of addresses is only part of the picture: activities, people, risks and management-system control also matter.
An office, warehouse, temporary project location and remote service team may need different audit arrangements. Describing them accurately helps avoid a quote based on an incomplete view of the business.
Can one certificate cover several sites?
A multi-site arrangement may be possible where sites operate under a single management system with a central function that has authority over it. The applicable standard and certification requirements still need to be considered.
Site sampling is not automatic. Similar activities may support a sampling approach, while different activities or specific requirements can mean more sites need direct audit coverage.
Does remote working mean a fully remote audit?
No. A remote team and a remote audit are different things. Remote audit methods depend on whether the required evidence can be assessed effectively, securely and with the necessary technology and agreement. Physical activities may still require on-site assessment.
What should we prepare for a quote?
- Permanent and temporary locations, and the activities at each.
- People involved in the proposed scope, including remote teams and shifts.
- Which activities are similar and which are unique.
- Where management-system control and responsibilities sit.
- Outsourced activities and any access, security or technology limits relevant to the audit.
Send ACS this outline with your proposed scope and timing. A clear picture of the work is more useful than a site count alone.
